Jamie Gallagher DNP, FNP-C, MSCP

 Jamie is a doctoral-prepared, board certified family nurse practitioner and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. She is the owner and founder of Peri & Pause. She has served as a nurse practitioner in the Triangle area of North Carolina since 2009 in family medicine, urgent care and women's health. She is an active member of The Menopause Society,  the HERmedicine Provider Alliance, the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health. She is also a proud military spouse, mother of four and grandmother of three.

Nancy Chen MSN, FNP-C

Nancy Chen is a master's-prepared, board-certified family nurse practitioner with a strong foundation in primary care and a background in exercise physiology. She is also an active member for The Menopause Society. She began her nursing journey with a diploma in nursing, then worked her way up - earning her associate’s, bachelor’s, and ultimately her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University.

Nancy brings a unique perspective to midlife women’s care, combining her clinical training with her expertise in movement and wellness. Her background in exercise physiology allows her to approach midlife women's care with an emphasis on strength, function, and whole-body support—offering care that truly meets women where they are in this stage of life.

Outside of work, she’s a proud wife and mom to two young children.

Kristen is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse

Kristen Nawyn MSN, AGNP-C, MSCP

Kristen is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner who provides holistic, evidence-based, compassionate care for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. 

Kristen is known for helping women feel heard, validated, and supported, and for taking the time to understand the full picture of what’s going on in the body during early perimenopause and midlife. Kristen brings a thoughtful, thorough approach to care and truly represents the next generation of menopause medicine.

Outside the clinic, Kristen enjoys cooking, yoga, international travel, discovering new teas and matcha, reading, spending time with her husband, and visiting the dog park with her two pups, Tembo and Penny.

Amanda is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse

Amanda Maingi MSN, WHNP

Amanda is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and North Carolina native who earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University, graduating at the top of her class. She is passionate about helping women feel confident, informed, and supported through perimenopause and menopause.

Amanda specializes in sexual health and midlife care and is known for her approachable, practical style. She partners with women seeking clear, evidence-based guidance for common midlife concerns.  She is an active member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and The Menopause Society.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys cooking, weightlifting, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers with her husband, Abe, and their rescue pup, Hunter.

Jaime is a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Family Nurse

Jaime Davis DNP, FNP-C

Jaime is a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience and a passion for women’s health. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from East Carolina University and is an active member of The Menopause Society.

Jaime has a background in primary care, allowing her to approach each patient with a comprehensive, whole-health perspective. Early in her career, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse across multiple states, giving her a nuanced understanding of the hormonal and physical transitions women experience throughout their lives.

She is passionate about preventive care and believes women deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered during perimenopause and menopause. Jaime brings warmth, clinical depth, and a commitment to evidence-based care to every patient encounter.

Outside of the clinic, Jaime is a devoted wife and mom who loves traveling and is a self-proclaimed Disney enthusiast, always planning her next magical trip.

Karen Artz is a Master’s-prepared Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Karen Artz MHDL, LCMHC, LCAS

Karen is a master’s-prepared Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of experience supporting women’s mental health. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She specializes in short-term, solution-focused counseling for midlife women, providing a compassionate space to navigate life’s transitions, specifically during perimenopause and menopause. A former DONA-trained doula, Karen has dedicated her career to empowering women. She’s also a proud “bonus” mom to two daughters and grandmother to four. She also enjoys playing tennis and pickleball.
