Menopause is essentially the 365th day after the last menstrual period. The transition to this day can be as long as 10 years, and during these 10 years a woman can experience multiple symptoms directly related to the changes in her hormones.
"Hot flashes" seem to get the most hype, but there are a multitude of other symptoms that women experience that may be lesser known and, truthfully, can be frightening.
These include:
• brain fog
• insomnia
• anxiety and panic attacks
• hair thinning and loss
• joint pain
• weight gain, especially around the abdomen
• palpitations
• dizziness
• and MANY MORE
Peri & Pause came to be after, in daily practice, we saw so many women struggling with confusion and misinformation surrounding their own perimenopause- from being told they were "too young" to be going through menopause, that "it is just part of life" or even that treatments to help the symptoms were too risky. That is ABSOLUTELY not true.
There are treatment options that can and will help you. They are evidence-based, inexpensive and approved by the FDA. We will listen to you and hear you. We will discuss your personal and family history, and we will educate you about your symptoms and the best treatment options for you to feel your best again. We will be present with you during this transition.
At Peri & Pause, our mission is to provide high-quality women's healthcare services to our patients. We are often asked about nutritional supplements. You may visit our Fullscripts store here. Let us know of any questions or to request a discount!
